STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme and final authority in all maters on which it speaks.

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity.

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teaching. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, indwell, and empower all who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that the Holy Spirit is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. He imparts spiritual gifts for Christian service and edification and the fruits of the Spirit for a Christ-like life.

We believe that man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. This historical fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation. We believe that all men are sinners, by nature and by choice, and therefore are under condemnation.

We believe that those who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The salvation of man is a work of God’s free grace and is not a result of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. We further believe that regeneration results in righteous living and good works.

It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Holy Spirit to be assured of their salvation from the very moment in which they trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This assurance is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written Word.

We believe that every Christian is called to live so in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit that he will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, but will bear fruit to the glory of God. The Christian should also be a faithful steward of his possessions and should seek to realize for himself and others, the full stature of maturity in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ and associated for worship and fellowship. We believe that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures, and for mutual encouragement.

We believe that upon physical death, the believer enters immediately into conscious fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven and waits the resurrection of his body to everlasting glory and blessing. We believe that upon physical death, the unbeliever enters immediately into conscious separation from the Lord Jesus Christ in hell and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting judgment and condemnation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY DID YOU WRITE AND PRODUCE GOD'S COURTROOM

“I have been a lawyer for more than 20 years, as I sat in courtrooms and observed numerous hearings, it occurred to me that one day each person will stand trial in God’s courtroom. This Heavenly Judge will know everything and His decisions can never be appealed and you had better be prepared,” says Kugler.

“I noticed the Bible provides extensive information on the trials that will take place in God’s courtroom after a person’s death,” says Kugler.

“God’s Courtroom explains salvation from a legal perspective by using legal analogies. I thought it might be effective to take common principles in a criminal case and compare them with the trials that will take place in God’s courtroom after death,” says Kugler.

“Anyone charged with a serious crime would want to know how the legal system works and would desperately seek information regarding the judge, charge, penalty, potential legal defenses, possibility of entering a plea agreement or having a trial, and the availability of a pardon. God’s Courtroom analyzes each of these issues in a biblical context,” says Kugler.

BEGINNING CONCEPTS FOR GOD'S COURTROOM

The concept of God’s Courtroom began when Bruce Kugler was practicing law in Ogle County, Illinois, in the late 1980’s. Part of Kugler’s legal responsibilities included representing clients charged with crimes. Criminal arraignment hearings were often presided over by the Honorable Alan Cargerman whom Kugler greatly respected.

Judge Cargerman had a profound impact on Kugler’s legal career on the need to be absolutely prepared when appearing before any judge. Kugler states, “He was truly a scholar of the law and quite brilliant. He followed the law with exacting precision. He was a fair but no nonsense type of judge. He was deeply respected and perhaps feared by some defendants and even attorneys.”

Defendants outside the courtroom may have acted arrogant and pompous, but once they stood before Judge Cargerman in a crowded courtroom, their attitudes quickly changed. Kugler commented, “As I sat in that courtroom and observed numerous hearings, it occurred to me that one day each person will stand trial in God’s courtroom. This Heavenly Judge will know everything and His decisions can never be appealed and you had better be prepared.”

According to Kugler, “As I began to read and study the Bible, many legal terms and concepts began to catch my attention. The Bible presents God as the Supreme Judge of the world and that everyone, one day, will appear before Him. I began to realize that the Bible provides extensive information on the trials that will take place in God’s courtroom after a person’s death.”

WHERE HAVE YOU TAUGHT INTERNATIONALLY?

WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION FOR THE FILM?

Benjamin Franklin once wrote, “In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.” “Regarding death, many people ignore it, some pretend it will never happen, others fear it. But it looms in everyone’s future. I have tried to explain the Gospel in simple terms so people can face death without fear, knowing that God loves them, and has offered a complete pardon. A person who accepts God’s offer of a pardon can close their eyes in death knowing they have peace with God,” says Kugler.
